The Paper (TV Series) is a hilarious workplace comedy and mockumentary series set in the same universe as The Office. The story follows the documentary crew that once filmed the employees of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch as they turn their cameras toward a struggling historic newspaper in Toledo, Ohio.
At the center of the story is Ned Sampson, the enthusiastic new editor-in-chief of the Toledo Truth Teller, who is determined to bring the struggling newspaper back to its former glory. However, he must work with a quirky group of reporters, editors, and amateur writers who create plenty of chaos inside and outside the newsroom.
The series combines workplace comedy, mockumentary-style storytelling, journalism, friendship, romance, office politics, and everyday workplace drama. Fans of The Office will also recognize Oscar Nuñez, who returns as Oscar Martinez.
Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, The Paper stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and Oscar Nuñez. The series currently has 2 seasons and 20 episodes, with Season 1 containing 10 episodes and Season 2 adding another 10 episodes.
